There’s an old quote that states: “Those who can, do; those who can’t, teach.” But then there are those who do and teach — like our girl Kelly. A teacher of 30 first graders, Kelly first started taking boxing classes to release stress after a long day of work. But in true (teacher) Kelly fashion, she decided taking a class wasn’t enough — she wanted to teach the class, too. She’s now bringing her training and teaching A-game to the Rumble podium. This really is just how Kelly does things — she keeps her eye on the prize until she achieves it. She studied abroad not once, but twice. She competed in pageants and became Miss Teen San Diego and Top Five Miss Teen California. She received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award two years in a row for over 500 hours of community service per year. As a teacher, she puts passion into motion and makes her students’ and boxers’ goals a reality. Kelly is proof that those who can, do and teach.
